2 Chronicles 29:28-30, Ezra 6:21, Nehemiah 9:3, Psalm 95:6, Psalm 96:9, Ezekiel 46:9, Revelation 19:10, Luke 4:8, Luke 2:37, Luke 24:52, John 4:20-24, John 9:38, Romans 12:1, 1 Corinthians 14:25, Hebrews 10:2, Hebrews 12:28

There are definite barriers to worship.  There is a false worship (or worship that God does not accept) including worshiping from a proud heart, twisting scripture, and trying to bargain with God.  There is power in music and we must be careful that our affections are toward Christ and not a style or taste.  The reading and handling of the Word of God is primary in our worship.  We should never seek to form an unholy alliance with a program or person that creates a self-styled spirituality.  Worship cannot be defined as simply an emotional or physical response, but must also be offered with truth about God.

Deuteronomy 11:16, Deuteronomy 12:4, Deuteronomy 12:31, Colossians 2:18, Deuteronomy 30:17, Jeremiah 13:10, Matthew 15:9, 1 Samuel 15:25, John 9:31, 2 Samuel 15:8, Daniel 3:28, Daniel 3:5, Matthew 28:17

God clearly delights in the worship of His people and is eager to reward and bless them as a result.  There is much God-provided motivation to encourage us to worship Him in spirit and in truth including providing His followers with gladness, joy, unity, and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.
