Laura joined the CCC staff in 2006. Her position began as a volunteer and evolved into a full-time Children’s Ministry Director as CCC's children’s department rapidly grew. As the Children’s Ministry Director, Laura manages weekend service classes, special events, VBS, day camps and mid-week services for infancy through 5th grade. She believes every child at CCC is unique; discovering the nature of each child while also training them spiritually is a pure joy for Laura.

Laura and her husband, Brett, have four children and nine grandchildren. Laura's parents also attend CCC. Laura finds having her family unified as they worship and serve Christ to be an incredible gift. Her hobbies include flea marketing, watching arthouse films, old and new, and spending time with her huge extended family who happen to all live in the same neighborhood!

Small Group Director

Katie Holt

Katie was a native of Nashville, Tennessee, until 2011, when Chandler Holt put a ring on her finger and whisked her away to Springfield. The two began attending CCC about a year later. Suddenly 500 miles from her cozy family of eight, Katie turned to small groups to fill the many voids and found the model of the early Church still holds true today; family are the people you gather around your dinner table. In 2016 she was promoted from a position in office management to full-time Wife and Mama. Her work and passion at CCC goes hand in hand with homemaking: helping grow her church family around tables of all kinds in a community where all are welcome.

Worship Arts Director

Jil Powers

Jil has attended CCC for most of her life with her parents Jerry and Gayle Pollock who helped start the church in the early days. She has traveled quite a bit in her adult years, but is humbled and honored to be back in the Midwest and serving at CCC as the Worship Arts Director. Jil has been leading worship in various circumstances for 18 years, and it is at the core of who she is and who she believes God has called her to be. She and her husband Brannon have been married for 10 years and have two wonderful kids. She enjoys going on nature hikes with her family, adventuring in their RV, biking, and listening to podcasts.

tech Director

Gary Donn

Gary was born and raised in Scotland, moving to Springfield, MO with his wife Jessica in 2009, which is when they first visited CCC. They are blessed with three children and Gary works in the software industry as an accountant. He has led worship for over 15 years, and loves being a part of the CCC Worship Arts team that is dedicated to leading our church in honest, open and free encounters of praise to and worship of our great God.
